Data Analyst - Japan

Peroptyx is seeking Data Analysts in Japan to improve mapping data for digital navigation applications. Your local knowledge and research skills will help validate and enhance location accuracy, business information, and routing data that millions rely on. **What you'll do:** • Review and validate mapping data for accuracy and completeness • Verify business names, opening hours, and location information • Check distance and routing accuracy from origin to destination points • Research locations using approved tools and local knowledge • Identify data gaps and errors that impact user experience • Work independently with flexible scheduling • Contribute to improving navigation accuracy globally **What we're looking for:** • Fluency in English and Japanese • Excellent research and fact-checking skills • Excellent local knowledge of Japan's geography, culture, and business environment • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail • Minimum 5 consecutive years living in Japan • Good understanding of search engines, maps, and social media platforms • Ability to learn and apply multiple sets of instructions independently **Nice-to-haves:** • Prior experience with mapping or geospatial data validation • Familiarity with local business directories and regional platforms **What we offer:** • Flexible working schedule—work up to 20 hours per week • Work weekends, evenings, or whenever suits you • Competitive hourly rate (¥2,250/hour) • Work from home comfort • Minimal commitment with maximum flexibility
